Warren Westerberg was a Minneapolis-based studio potter decades ago (before I got here). Aside from the beautiful form and glazing, the interior rim is what I love. Not only is the glaze banded but the clay is also combed. That kind of attention to detail is like the potter winking across time.
 

Kevin and Ken- couldn't find my Sperry but did turn up these pics from last year of Warren Westerberg's work. He was a MN studio potter at the same time as Robert Sperry. You can see the stylistic similarities. Don't know if these gentlemen met.
